This week’s comics: 13 comics with no women on creative team, 12 with at least a single woman, even if that’s just one of several colorists. It sounds like I’m saying “almost half,” but no. It’s actually 76 men and 18 women. (Caveats about gender binary and sloppy research apply.)
That’s not okay. Men are not INNATELY 4 times as likely to be writers, artists or letterers. Women, AFAIK, like art? Right? I love letterers but A LOT of lettering is pretty phoned in. Why aren’t half the people phoning in lettering women? Women can half-ass shit!
